Julia Skinner, Ph.D.

Curator of Rare Books

Dr. Julia Skinner completed her doctorate in Information Studies at Florida State University, where her dissertation focused on the history of the 135th Street branch of the New York Public Library. Skinner attended University of Iowa, receiving a a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Library & Information Science. Skinner also received a graduate certificate from the Library of Congress Center for the Book, where her final project focused on Gervase Markham's The English Housewife, a household manual published in 17th century England.
